The Singapore Malaysia Club of San Diego
Food is something that connects us during these unprecedented times.
As part of the 'National Day Month of August' the SingMa Club wants to bring you an opportunity to still enjoy various 'local' food in the comforts of your home for every weekend of August starting 8/8 with this 'Hawker Food Series'.
This year, our annual Hawker Fair will also adapt to the new norms via prepaid orders with vendors and 'contactless' pick up on the day of, with popular past vendors like Lim Kee's Hainanese Chicken Rice, Taylormade Char Kuey Teow, Aishah's Satay Catering, Seasons Kitchen as well as some new ones on the scene. We also invited our neighbors from Indonesia to participate as their National day is also this month.
Majulah Singapore to all Singaporeans (9 Aug), Selamat Hari Kemerdekaan to all Indonesians (17 Aug) & Selamat Hari Merdeka to all Malaysians (31 Aug)!

HOW IT WORKS
1. Browse list of vendors & read details below.
2. Place and prepay for your orders with respective vendors based on instructions given before cut off time
(please contact the vendor directly for queries pertaining your order, not to the SingMa Club)
3. Pick up at designated time and location on respective days (3 - 4pm @ Mira Mesa Highschool parking lot,
10510 Marauder Way, San Diego, CA 92126 *except for Seasons Kitchen orders that delivers to their regular
drop off spots)
4. Face coverings are required.
5. Stand in line to pickup your order and keep a distance of 6 ft from each other.
6. Do not linger / congregate after pick up.

AISHAH WELLINGTON SATAY CATERING
- Aishah Wellington who owns her own Satay catering service, is the go to person for authentic home made Satays this side of the Pacific. She has been serving the San Diego and Los Angeles areas for many years and a regular vendor at the SingMa Club annual Hawkers Fair. Satays and Curry Puffs are sold frozen and ready for grilling and deep frying. Each 25 sticks pack of Satay comes with a tub of Satay sauce.

SEASONS KITCHEN USA
- A regular at our Hawker's Fair these last couple of years, Seasons Kitchen USA is a restaurant based in Orange County serving Malaysian Chinese cuisine. Their popular offerings include the crispy skin roast pork, char siu with noodles/rice, Nasi Lemak with chicken curry, various kuih/desserts etc. During this pandemic, they have started their food 'Teksi', delivering exciting home goodness all around SoCal and is currently already doing bi-weekly deliveries to various drop off points in the San Diego area. And you often find co-owner Khim Teoh strumming her ukulele as a treat for her customers.
